About Me
Hi there! My name is Jasmine.
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), I am deeply passionate about supporting and guiding my fellow professionals through the ups and downs of working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
On my instagram and this website, I openly share my personal journey through burnout. I also discuss my mental health struggles while working in ABA and leaving the field to pursue my dream of becoming a wedding planner. I draw from my own experiences to shed light on pressing issues within our ABA community.
My hope is to inspire and guide applied behavior analysis professionals who might be going through similar challenges in their careers.
Beyond addressing important topics in ABA, I'm all about empowering professionals in their practice. That's why I love creating practical resources for behavior analysts and special educators to utilize and elevate their impact in clients' lives. You can find these resources (free and for purchase) here.
I left the field of ABA in 2021 due to severe burnout. I now own a wedding planning and design business but have maintained my certification; I am still active in the field and practice part time.
My interests within the field of applied behavior analysis include toilet learning, alternative and augmentative communication, ethical and compassionate business management, compassionate supervision of applied behavior analysis students and technicians, as well as compassionate and neurodiversity-affirming practices.
Outside of my love for behavior analysis, I love Broadway musicals, interior design, and thrifting. My ideal Saturday includes an iced caramel macchiato, a walk around a cemetery, and an evening watching 90 Day Fiance with my husband. I have 3 cats and a 16-year-old Chihuahua named Rex.
If you're an ABA professional experiencing burnout, workplace exploitation, or just feeling lonely and stressed in this constantly evolving field, this is the community for you. Whether you're a behavior technician, behavior analyst, autist, special educator, or parent, you're welcome here.
